We hope you’re all keeping safe and sane at this confusing time.
The Joshua Tree are closely following the official recommendations and guidelines from Public Health and other Childhood Cancer charities and organisations, regarding the Coronavirus. Therefore, we just wanted to let you know what safety measurements and precautions the Family Support Team are now putting in place to help with the current situation.
From this week, we have taken the decision to limit our face to face interactions with families. Therefore, we will be postponing all our hospital, school and home visits to limit the potential spread to families and other members of the public.
Our family events and activities, including our monthly Family Saturday's will be cancelled until further notice.
If you or a family member accesses our counselling service, the counsellors will be in touch to offer an alternative way to continue the sessions. We are still working and available to offer phone and email support.
We recognise that this is a hugely worrying, stressful and uncertain time and we want to be able to continue to provide support, where we can. Please don’t hesitate to contact the Family Support Team.
In the meantime, we’re continuing to work hard behind the scenes to ensure that when the restrictions are lifted, we have an amazing support centre that you can all come and visit!
Sending lots of best wishes
The Joshua Tree Team x
