Shoppers at Arley Hall once again turned out in style despite the extreme weather conditions to raise money for The Joshua Tree.
The highly anticipated event welcomed over 1000 visitors and showcased over 70 hand-picked artisan stalls, with stunning live music accompaniments throughout the event. The Tuesday evening opening was hosted by Piccolino with the overall event sponsored by Boodles.
The Arley Hall Shopping Spectacular has raised over £141,000 for the Joshua Tree charity over the last four years, this year contributing over £25,500 to the total.
Pippa Watson-Peck, Fundraising and Communications Manager at The Joshua Tree, said: “The Shopping Spectacular is a huge community event and it could not happen without the incredible generosity of Lord and Lady Ashbrook, the Arley Shopping Spectacular Committee and bank of volunteers who work tirelessly to ensure the event is a success.
"The money raised from the event will go towards the completion of the new support centre which is due to open early 2020.”
Arley Hall has been home to the Ashbrook family since the 15th century, and the Shopping Spectacular was set up in 1991 by a committee, including Lady Ashbrook, to support children's charities over a five-year term. The Joshua Tree began its five-year partnership with Arley in 2016.
