Watts Commercial Charity Dinner

In aid of The Joshua Tree

The Joshua Tree is delighted to share the tremendous success of a recent Charity Dinner, graciously hosted by Watts Commercial Finance in support of our mission to assist families affected by childhood cancers. This remarkable evening, held at the esteemed Lowry Hotel in Manchester on Thursday, April 25th, 2024, brought together 228 distinguished guests and raised an exceptional amount of funds.

For The Joshua Tree, the unwavering support of partners like Watts Commercial Finance is truly elevating. Witnessing the generosity and dedication of attendees at the Charity Dinner underpins the profound impact we can make when we come together as a community. The funds raised will enable us to extend our support to even more families across North West England, and North Wales, offering them vital assistance during their unimaginable time of need.

The evening was a spectacle of laughter and generosity, expertly orchestrated by compere Jamie Sutherland, and featuring incredible performances by renowned Heather Small and disco legend, Lionel Vinyl. The room was buzzing with energy as guests were on their feet, fully immersed in the evening’s entertainment.

Phil Gray, Managing Director of Watts Commercial Finance, beautifully summed up the spirit of the evening, stating, "A night like this truly celebrates the amazing individuals in our industry who embody the spirit of giving and unity." Phil continues; “"We are immensely proud to have orchestrated an event that not only recognises their generosity but also makes a tangible difference in the lives of families facing the battles of childhood cancers. Here at Watts Commercial, supporting The Joshua Tree is not just a commitment; it's a passion. We deeply believe in the invaluable work of this remarkable charity and are honoured to stand alongside them in their mission.”

The overwhelming success of the Charity Dinner is a testament to the collective compassion and generosity of our community. Richard Driffield, CEO of The Joshua Tree, expressed his gratitude, saying, "We are hugely grateful to the team at Watts Commercial for their continued support for The Joshua Tree. We are blown away by the generosity of everyone who attended the charity ball and the amount raised is incredible. As a small charity, this level of support makes a huge difference, and the funds raised will enable us to help even more families affected by childhood cancers across Cheshire, North West England and North Wales. We are excited to continue our partnership with Watts Commercial and further increase the profile of the charity across the region.”

Together, we are making a tangible difference in the lives of those affected by childhood cancers, offering hope and support where it is needed most.

We extend our deepest gratitude to the event sponsors including Together, John Pass the Jewellers, and Porsche Centre Wilmslow.
