The day finally came to celebrate new The Joshua Tree support Centre in Sandiway during September, marking Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Beneficiaries, Staff, Trustees and Funders gathered in the sunshine to celebrate 15 years of fundraising and realise Founders Lyn and Dai Hill’s dream.
Face painting, magicians, pottery and more, made the day one of celebration in the Cheshire countryside. Seeing life resemble some normality with the centre utilised how it was intended to be was something wonderful to see.
The Support Centre was completed in February 2020, three weeks before the announcement of the national lockdown. Over the months that followed the Joshua Tree Team, volunteers and corporate supporters completed the fit out of the centre, the Centre has been furnished entirely with donations and grant funding to ensure the centre was ready to welcome families in May 2021.
We are so incredibly proud of what has been achieved over the years, and all while supporting families affected by childhood cancers across the North West and North Wales.
