Transforming Lives 100-mile cycle ride ‘The Cheshire Dash 2022’ was completed by over 80 dedicated riders in aid of The Joshua Tree.
The Transforming Lives Foundation set up by Mike and Catriona Marshall chose The Joshua Tree to benefit from the popular cycling event which took place on Saturday 2nd July.
The incredible 80 riders took on the 100-mile cycle challenge that chartered across through the Cheshire countryside and up some of the most gruelling climbs in England, all in one day.
The exclusive event sponsored by Bentley hopes to exceed the fundraising target in support of families affected by childhood cancers.
Rich Driffield, Joshua Tree CEO commented “A huge thank you to the incredible riders who took on the gruelling challenge of the 100 mile Cheshire Dash, not forgetting all of the supporters for their encouraging cheers and to everyone who has donated so far.
This year, we have already received over 50 new referrals from families across Cheshire, North West England and North Wales, The funds raised will make a huge difference to the charity and to the lives of families affected by childhood cancers. We cannot thank Mike and Cat, and the teams from Transforming Lives and Running Bear enough for supporting The Joshua Tree”.
To date The Joshua Tree have supported over 324 families with bespoke programmes of support to improve the emotional wellbeing and mental health of all immediate and extended family members who are affected by childhood cancers, across North-West England and North Wales, for as long as they need it.
