Counselling Support for the Whole Family

A childhood cancer diagnosis affects more than just the child, it can impact the whole family. That’s why we offer free, professional counselling for teenagers, young adults, parents, and grandparents at any stage of the journey, even years after treatment ends.

Our trained counsellors provide a safe, confidential space to:

  • Process difficult emotions like guilt, anger, or grief
  • Manage stress and anxiety
  • Adjust to changes in family life
  • Reflect, talk, and find clarity

For young children, we offer age-appropriate Art and Play Therapy.

Get Support When You Need It Most

Sessions are typically 1:1, weekly, and last around 45 minutes. We’re flexible, and where helpful, close family or friends can join to support communication and understanding.

You can usually be seen within just two weeks, ensuring you get the support you need, when you need it most

At The Joshua Tree, we’re here to listen, guide, and help your family heal, whenever you’re ready.

It took a while for me to open up, but it really has helped me to be able to talk to someone openly about my real feelings and fears. I knew I couldn’t change what had happened, but it has really helped me understand my own feelings and given me skills to cope with my emotions without worrying about being judged or upsetting someone in my family.
