At The Joshua Tree, every room within our Cheshire Support Centre has a purpose. They are spaces where families can feel safe, supported and understood during some of the most difficult times of their lives.
Room sponsorship is one of the most meaningful ways a business can support The Joshua Tree because it helps keep our Support Centre open and running every day. All out services are free for families, however there are significant costs involved in running a warm, welcoming building that is ready whenever families need it. Sponsoring a room helps cover the ongoing running costs of our building, allowing us to continue providing emotional health and wellbeing support to families affected by childhood cancers.
We are incredibly grateful to Together Money for sponsoring our Heart Space with a generous donation.
The Heart Space is exactly what its name suggests, the heart of The Joshua Tree. It is the first space families enter when they arrive, whether they are visiting for the first time or returning to a place that feels familiar and comforting.
With its welcoming kitchen area, cosy sofas, large dining table and doors that open out onto our outdoor play area, the Heart Space immediately gives families a home-from-home feeling. Over the years it has been full of life, laughter, love and memories.
It is a place where children can play safely while parents take a moment to breathe. It is somewhere families can sit with a support worker over a cup of tea, and where parents can gather for coffee mornings or a brunch after bootcamp sessions. It is where we come together to share, support and connect.
