What a fabulous evening we had at the 2023 Ladies Lunch. Hosted for the third year running at the impressive Delamere Manor, once home to legendary Take That icon, Gary Barlow OBE. The event was a sell-out success, helping to raise vital funds for The Joshua Tree.
After welcome drinks in the glamorous ground floor reception rooms, the afternoon proceedings took place in the beautifully dressed marquee adjacent to the house. Emilie, our beneficiary guest for the event, bravely stood up in front of all the attendees and confidently told her emotional story of having childhood cancer. Her grace and decorum elevated her words across the room, as we listened to the impact the diagnosis had on herself. The support Emilie received from The Joshua Tree allowed her to find her new normal and to feel confident again through our bespoke services.
After a gorgeous three course meal of juniper berry salmon, brisket of beef and the delicious cheesecake for dessert, the much-anticipated auction began! With an array of luxury auction prizes to be had, the ladies dug deep in their purses and showed their support for our wonderful charity. From a weekend Porsche hire to bespoke artwork and a distillery tour with bed & breakfast stay. Not forgetting the star of the auction, a Boodles diamond necklace worth over £2000.
£14,500 was raised in total which is a fantastic amount of money to help support The Joshua Tree and will make a significant difference in our mission to support families affected by childhood cancers.
Once the auction drew to a close, the evening’s entertainment was provided by the impressive ABBA tribute band who got everyone into the party spirit.
