The Joshua Tree continues to support families across North Wales thanks to secured funding from The Gwynt y Môr Community Fund.
The grant will significantly enhance the support The Joshua Tree offers to families affected by childhood cancers across North Wales.
The grant funding will provide security for the support service delivery across North Wales and from a Family Support ‘Hwb’ in Mochdre, Colwyn Bay, to support families affected by childhood cancers. The Joshua Tree has been a provider of bespoke programmes of support to improve the emotional well-being and mental health of all immediate and extended family members who are affected by childhood cancers, across North Wales for more than 4 years.
Danielle Percival, Joshua Tree Family Support Manager commented “Thanks to Gwynt y Môr Community Fund Foundation we able to support the increasing number of family referrals from within North Wales, with 1-2-1 therapeutic sessions, peer support group activities and family activities both during and post treatment.”
