Simple Life Homes: Powering Community Support Through Fundraising for The Joshua Tree
We are proud to shine a spotlight on the incredible support of Simple Life Homes, whose commitment to social impact and community wellbeing continues to make a lasting difference to the families we support at The Joshua Tree.
Their sponsorship has helped us deliver several of our flagship fundraising events, including the 2024 Giraffe to Giraffe Cycle Challenge, the 2025 Padel Tournament, our recent Golf Day at Sandiway Golf Club, and our upcoming Walk Tall beneficiary event. Sponsorship ensures that these events not only maximises essential funds raised, but are a success at bringing people together in meaningful ways.
This generous support is led by Niamh Waldron, Social Impact & Sustainability Director at Simple Life Homes and Sigma Capital Group, whose values deeply align with our mission.
“In my role, my remit is clear, ‘Make people’s lives better or a little bit easier by what we do as a business’, with a keen focus on the areas where we operate across the country and a target to support a broad demographic range.”
The connection began in 2023, when both a Simple Life resident and a staff member nominated the charity to receive a £1,000 donation as part of Simple Life’s Christmas gift initiative.
“From there the friendship and partnership grew. Engaging with our residents in this way is so important to us, as they know best what is needed in their local communities.” says Niamh.
What followed was a growing relationship that included visits to our support centre and hands-on discussions about how Simple Life could play a part in our story.
“Making direct contact allows one to feel and see the passion, commitment and dedication of all involved, and learn from them what is needed. Support is all about community and people, and as a business where people are at the very heart, supporting charities like The Joshua Tree makes perfect human sense.”
Niamh explains, “We support because we are in a position to do so, we want to make a positive difference, it is the right thing to do, and it makes sense. It really is that simple.”
We are truly grateful to Niamh and the team at Simple Life Homes and Sigma Capital Group for their continued support. Seeing Niamh’s genuine passion for our charity is incredibly moving, it reminds us why we do what we do and makes us proud of the impact we’re making for families facing childhood cancer. We feel so fortunate to have such an inspiring individual, who not only understands our mission but actively works to make a real difference.
“I continue to be in awe of all those at The Joshua Tree, and all the charities, groups and clubs we support. Their care, love and support is appreciated by so many, and the impact is far greater than we can ever truly know.” says Niamh
Thank you, Niamh and Simple Life, for being part of our story. We can’t wait to see what we achieve together next!
