New Support Centre
Thanks to the generous support of the Northwich and North West community we have started to build our new Support Centre in Dalefords Lane, Sandiway.
We have appointed the main contractor John Turner Construction Group and secured the funding required to commence with the build work. We will be breaking ground Spring 2019!
In response to the growing demand on our support service by families, The Joshua Tree Support Centre will provide an appropriate environment for our families accommodating children of all ages from toddlers through to teenagers and will feature a multi-functional activity room, private counselling and therapy suites, office facilities and meeting room, a community 'heart space' area with access to a kitchen stocked with family meals, soft play and sensory equipment, a games room and an extensive outdoor play area and landscaped gardens.

"Providing our families with a safe and appropriate environment with a range of indoor and outdoor activities designed to stimulate the children, will allow the family to experience much-needed quality time together away from the confines of hospital treatment."
Lynda Hill, CEO and Founder of The Joshua Tree
The floor plan below shows Phase One of our new Support Centre due to commence construction in the coming weeks.
Our families and beneficiaries have been a major influence in the layout and facilities available in the new Support Centre and we are incredibly excited to be constructing what will be a very welcome addition to the charity.
Not the usual type of hospital sensory room.
When the centre is quiet, the room will be transformed into a haven of peace to allow children to either sleep or simply relax whilst watching bubble tubes and/or interactive wall can be used as an activity along with the soft play toys.
A 'snug' area will provide a quiet space for story reading
A large multi-functional space with tables and chairs for the children to play as well as a sink and a storage area to house a large dishwasher for cleaning the toys as part of our infection control procedures.
A flexible games space which can be used by the children with a pool/snooker table, indoor football and basketball etc.
Table and chairs for informal meetings and dining, desk space and beautiful views out to landscaped gardens.
Two rooms for small group counselling/therapy/pamper or treatment sessions
With children at its heart, the playground is centred with our Joshua Tree House, using coloured artificial grass and a structured play system, the children will be able to play freely in a safe and secure play area normally out of bounds due to infection control issues.
Please continue to support us as we fund raise towards the completion of the new Support Centre through our #digdeep campaign and look forward to opening our doors in late 2019!
