Witton Street Dental Supports The Joshua Tree with a Health and Wellness Event

On the 21st of June, Witton Street Dental hosted a remarkable health and wellness event at the Oaklands Hotel, raising over £5,000 in support of The Joshua Tree. This event, dedicated to promoting health and wellbeing, aligns perfectly with The Joshua Tree’s mission of improving the mental and emotional wellbeing of all family members affected by childhood cancers.

The evening was a shining example of community spirit and generosity. Staff from Witton Street Dental went above and beyond to organise a fantastic evening of wellness and entertainment, dedicated to raising vital funds for The Joshua Tree. Their hard work paid off with a great turnout and impressive fundraising efforts.

The event kicked off with an opening speech from the Northwich Town Mayor, followed by a captivating performance by the Northwich Sing Space Musical Theatre Choir.

David Hill, the founder of The Joshua Tree, then provided an inspiring introduction before the evening’s demonstrations began.

The demonstrations featured a variety of health and wellness activities, including:

Stacey from Stacey Hartley Florals, who specialises in seasonal floral design and wellbeing-centred workshops, reflected on the event saying, ” I felt incredibly honoured to be asked to be a part of the event. As a local business it’s really important to me to support charities, events and other businesses. The Joshua Tree is an incredible charity and I didn’t hesitate at being part of it all. I loved doing the demonstration and being able to talk to people about flowers, growing and wellbeing. I think the Witton Street team did an amazing job and should be really proud”.

The evening also featured a raffle with top prizes, including a two-night stay in a glamping pod with a hot tub, donated by Blakemere Village, a signed Manchester United football, a Manchester City Stadium tour, and a one-night B&B stay at The Oaklands Hotel.

The night concluded with vibrant music and dancing provided by Salt Promotions, allowing attendees to dance the night away.

Witton Street Dental’s dedication to the event was evident in the meticulous planning and effort put into every detail. Lynn Major, organiser of the evening says, “We wanted to raise money for the Joshua Tree as this is a local charity and we wanted to help them to continue their great work.”

“It was a big undertaking organising this event along with the running of the practice but it was satisfying to see people enjoy the event and also knowing that we have helped families who are going through a difficult time in their lives.”

As part of their promotional activities, David Perrin, our Head of Operations, joined Janet and Lynn from Witton Street Dental on Radio Northwich with presenter Kim to discuss the event. David not only showcased the charity but also took on the role of DJ with his excellent song suggestions.

This incredible evening of health, wellness, and community support was a huge success, making a significant contribution to The Joshua Tree’s ongoing mission.

Thank you to Witton Street Dental, all the participants, and everyone who contributed to making this event unforgettable. We can’t wait for the next event!
