Supporting Families Affected by Childhood Cancers Since 2006

In 2026, The Joshua Tree celebrates 20 years of providing emotional, social, and practical support to families navigating life with childhood cancer. What began as a small, heartfelt vision of two parents has grown into a lifeline for hundreds of families across Cheshire, North Wales, and beyond.

Looking Back at the Journey...

In 2026, The Joshua Tree will mark our 20th anniversary. When their son Joshua was diagnosed with cancer, Dai and Lynda Hill felt lost, not only within the medical world, but emotionally too. They recognised a vital gap: families like theirs needed somewhere to turn, somewhere safe, understanding, and filled with hope.

What began as a response to that need has grown into a special charity that families can rely on during some of the most challenging times of their lives. For two decades, The Joshua Tree has been committed to providing practical, emotional, health and wellbeing support to families affected by childhood cancer, and that commitment remains at the heart of everything we do.

I am proud and privileged to lead a charity built on the values of our founders, and shaped by the families, staff, volunteers, and supporters who make this all possible. Here’s to the next 20 years.
